Who we are
Gynaecomastia.ie (gynaecomastia.ie) is run by Bartlomiej Standa, trading as Elevate Ireland (Irish registered business name 790663), Co. Dublin. We are the data controller for what you send through this site. Contact: privacy@gynaecomastia.ie.
Gynaecomastia.ie is an introduction service, not a clinic. We do not give medical advice and we do not carry out any treatment.
What we collect
From the check: your age band, how long the tissue has been there, whether it is on one or both sides, how it feels, whether it is tender, what your weight is doing, whether you take a daily medicine, use or have used steroids, drink heavily or use cannabis, any warning signs you ticked, whether a GP has seen it, and the result you saw. If you choose to send it: your county, when you are thinking of a consultation, your first name, your mobile number and, if you give it, your email. Much of this is health information, which the law treats as special-category data.
Nothing you tick in the check leaves your browser unless you add your details and send it. We do not ask for photos of your body, test results or your date of birth, and you should not send them to us. The clinic asks what it needs at your consultation.
Why, and on what legal basis
We use your details for one purpose: to pass your enquiry to one clinic so it can contact you about booking a consultation with a surgeon. Because the enquiry includes health information, we only do this with your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a) of the GDPR), which you give by ticking the box before you send it. The box is never ticked for you.
Who receives it
One private clinic in Ireland that works with us. It receives your answers and contact details and uses them to contact you about a consultation. From then on the clinic is responsible for what it does with your information, under its own privacy notice. Our hosting provider (Vercel), our encrypted lead storage and the messaging service we use to forward your enquiry process it on our behalf. We never sell your details, never pass them to more than one clinic for the same enquiry, and never add you to a marketing list.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry, stored encrypted, for up to 12 months, then delete it. Ask us and we delete it sooner.
Withdrawing your consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing privacy@gynaecomastia.ie. We stop using your details and tell the clinic we passed them to. Withdrawing does not affect anything done before you asked.
Your rights
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, to correct them, to delete them, to restrict how we use them, to object, or to get a copy to take elsewhere. Email us and we reply within one month. If you are not happy with how we handle your details, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Under 18s
The guides are for everyone, including teenage boys and their parents. Enquiries are for adults only: the check does not let anyone who says they are under 18 send an enquiry, and we delete any enquiry we find from someone under 18.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies. We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which stores nothing that identifies you, and we record anonymously how far people get through the check (which step, never the answers with your name).
